hey, I'm Bethany
That all of those " unqualified" years being a "stay-at-home mom" would prepare me for the future that was impossible for me to imagine. Let me say that I have been on the adventure of a lifetime. And thank God that I didn't have the power to plan my own future because I certainly would have lived a very boring life.
I married my high school sweetheart and we have a successful construction company and livestock operation. We have 3 amazing humans and it feels like we are just getting started.
I had no idea at the time...
I remember when I was a little girl and all of the things I just KNEW I was going to grow up to be. Do you remember who you wanted to be when you were ten years old? I never knew I would love being a mama the way that I do, but I also didn't know how NOT to lose myself and the little girl dreams I had.
The longer I thought I was "just a mom" the harder it was to see myself as anything else. Maybe you can relate.
My story really began the moment I finally said no. (No, to the voice in my head that kept telling me I couldn't be more.)
How do I watch my daughter's life become altered forever? And what can I do to "save' her? Those were the two questions I asked myself. Frustration and tears were the normal thing for me throughout the weeks following her diagnosis of being a type 1 diabetic. But it also lit a fire in me for her and for moms that were dealing with the same struggles.
One, the financial stress of it all. If insurance will pay and how much and even how often?
Two, the frustration of seeing doctors who didn't have the answers we needed or wouldn't or couldn't help us.
We had to take responsibility for US!
there is no way i could have predicted the turn of events that knocked the wind out of my sails.

There is a reason you have gone through everything you have. You can decide to complain and wallow or you can decide to have victory and use what you've been through to help yourself and others.

When you come face to face with who you were created to be can be SCARY AS HELL! I questioned every single thing that God was very clearly telling me to do. So..... I got busy learning and learning and learning. From money management to nutrition and working from home; I WAS ALL IN.
That was the exact moment it all changed for me. When I started looking for my God given purpose; my giftedness...
